| 2012 Topps Inception Football Checklist. Things to keep in mind about 2012 Topps Inception Football. The cards do look great. BUT - this is a set that all of the hits will be incoming 2012 NFL rookies. ALL of them - besides the low serial numbered parallels from veteran players in the base set. Do not buy this product thinking you'll have a chance at an Aaron Rodgers autograph or someone currently on your favorite team. BE VERY CAREFUL when purchasing teams for a "box break" of this product. After the 2012 NFL Draft the Players Association will put together a "Rookie Premier Photo Shoot". ONLY the top (or most marketable) 35 players will attend, and at this event Topps/Panini obtain autographs & player worn jersey's from just those 35 players. Those 35 players will be the featured rookies featured in this set. Here you can find information about the 2012 Photo Shoot held in Los Angeles. You can read about the 2011 NFL RC Premiere Photo Shoot here. Topps did a good job at getting some non-photo players in their debut NFL set 2012 Bowman Signatures. Players like Kirk Cousins, David DeCastro and quite a few more had autographs included in the set, some of them were on-card. The set is very similar to 2011 Inception Football. Browse that set to get an idea what the cards will look like this year. It's essentially the same set - besides a few minor tweaks. The 2012 NFL Draft is headed by two QB's Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III and that should help the demand for this and other 2012 football card releases.
