The 1997/98 Fleer Skybox Precious Metal Gems, serial numbered #/100 are some of the most rare and most expensive cards to be produced during the 1990's. The base set was mass produced, which makes finding one of these rare gems that much more difficult. It's easy to pull a card out of #/100 or less in boxes made now-a-days, but back in 1997, pulling one of these cards was a rare treat. What makes these cards even more collectible is the fact that they are very hard to find in good condition because the green and red foil will 'flake' and 'chip'. Premium graded copies of these cards sell for thousands on eBay for the top players.
