Twitter App - Free

Twitter is a site that takes some time to really fall in love with. To most, its a glorified Facebook 'Status' Update. To the average person, I could see how this could be the case. However, for someone like myself who manages several websites - its a great way to get the word out about things on your site. Aside from that, I have found Twitter to be one of the fastest and most reliable sources for Fantasy Sports information - in particular Start/Sit/Injury type situations. I can think of countless times searching 'Kevin Durant' 1 hour before tip-off to see if his 'game-time' decision was keeping him out or if he was in the lineup.

Since downloading this app - I rarely visit the site on my computer. You can follow your timeline/list, post tweets, photos, shrink URLs + more directly from the app. It helps me follow the Sports Card Collectors I have listed - so I can keep up on the latest Sports Trading Card News/Information. I'm sure there is a community for just about anything on Twitter if you take the time to find them.

eBay App - Free There is nothing like surfing eBay on a full screen computer (or iPad). However, if you are on the go - say at your local Card Store or Retail Store and you want to check the price of something on eBay, this will be your fastest way. Say the Card Store owner has a good sale on some boxes or single cards, now you can check the price on eBay before you buy - instead on waiting until you got home. There are additional eBay Apps depending on what you use the site for and I've listed them below.

Words With Friends App - Free or $2.99

Basically 'Scrabble' but under this name. A very fun game that you can play with friends or random opponents from around the world. What I like about this game is that you can play at your own pace so there is never a rush to finish a game. The chat box feature is cool - and I've actually made a few 'friends' by playing a couple of re-matches against the same random people. The free version works for me - as the ads don't get in the way too much. But if I keep playing this game for a long time, the price you pay is pretty cheap for all the enjoyment you can get from this little game. Find us under username: SportsCardRadio

Justin.TV App - Free

I've been going to this site for about 3 years now and I've always watched the content on the website. The Poker Channel usually runs 24 hours a day of re-run Poker content, which is perfect sometimes when nothing else is on. I've found this app useful for streaming my own Box Breaks on my own channel directly from the iPhone. It gives you the ability to go live right from your phone (as long as you have a good 3G or WiFi connection). I setup a channel and it works pretty good, giving our fans instant access to our breaks instead of waiting for it to upload to YouTube. www.justin.tv/sportscardradio - it even archives your videos to view later...all for free.

The Weather Channel App - Free

There is an existing weather app on the phone - but I felt it lacked actual satellite imagery of the incoming weather systems. In California, the weather is pretty predicable, with most systems coming in from the West Coast where the massive Pacific Ocean is. So often I just need to see how the storm is developing in San Francisco or the Bay Area - to see how its going to roll into the central valley. Seeing simple doppler or satellite radar can help me plan quick trips to the store, or delay them because a storm is coming. A 'forecast' is good for most people, but if you actually want to see radar - this is the app for you.

Battery Life Pro App - Free

Cool free app, there are lots of these in the App Store - this just happened to be the one I got. I really don't see any ads or anything other than the information you need about your phones battery. I like that it gives you a charging time estimate and it keeps track of your usage in graph form. There are multiple displays and functions - and it give you a readout of how much battery time you have to do specific things on your phone like listen to MP3's, watch video, play games, surf WiFi/3G, talking time, standby time and more. You can also warn yourself below certain limits to give yourself extra warning when you are running low.

Charles Schwab Banking App - Free

I got my iPhone just a few days before this App came onto the market - and I couldn't be happier that it did. Easily check your balances (both investor checking and brokerage accounts) all in one quick glance. Trade stocks, check your watchlist, transfer money + more. A must if you bank with Charles Schwab.

Angry Birds App - Free - $0.99

There is a reason why this game is #1 on the all time charts - its super fun. I honestly don't know of a game where I've paid $0.99 and played it as much as I did with Angry Birds. Basically you fling birds from a slingshot and try to break objects and little green monsters ... sounds simple, but that's probably the beauty of the entire game. It will drain your battery pretty good - so make sure you don't want to make a bunch of phone calls after trying to pass a couple of worlds. Time will fly by when you play this game. The free version is just a teaser - and if you enjoy it, you will have no problem paying $0.99 for the full version or the 'Seasons App' which includes Christmas and Halloween.

PayPal App - Free

eBay Sellers or merchants that accept payments via PayPal will love this application! It sends you a notification (if turned on) when you get payments ... making it easy to know when you have something to ship out right at your finger tips. You can also transfer money, check your balance and do all the other normal things you can do within your web-based PayPal account login. You might actually find that you use the App more than you use your web-based account because the features are really easy to use if you are familiar with PayPal.

Netfilx App - Free*

I signed up for the Free 30 Day Trial of Netflix to basically stream a couple of shows I wanted to watch entire series of onto my computer. I found that the buffer/time to watch a video was actually faster on my iPhone - making it a very nice way to watch a program. The app is useless unless you have a subscription - however I did make use of the 30 day trial and they have re-bill options for PayPal, Credit Card and other methods starting at $7.99 a month for online only. To get 1 DVD out at a time - its $9.99 per month + you can watch online /on your iPhone. If you love Netflix - getting an iPhone will only make your subscription more useful.
