A Wisconsin area sports card dealer is under fire after being accused of fraudulently trimming, altering and repairing cards.
Craig Roehrig
Craig Roehrig of Verona, Wisconsin was called out on Blowout Forum, and according to a respected user, his alteration methods include: trimming, crease removal, coloring, stain removal/minimization and corner repair most likely from pressing.
This 1952 Bowman Frank Gifford was originally purchased as a PSA 6 by Roehrig for $319.99. It was trimmed and stains on the back were removed.
Upon revaluation from PSA it received a 9 and was sold by Memory Lane Auctions for $4,704.00 on April 06, 2019.
According to the PSA website, Roehrig was the third person ever to receive a PSA 10 on a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle.
A Blowout Forum user noted that Roehrig is friends with Rick Changie. Changie was identified on the Anonymous PSA “Insider” Trimmer List published by Sports Card Radio.
