By now Playoff National Treasures Football is one of the most anticipated releases of the Football trading card season. Boxes yeild solid results and get the hands shaking in excitement. The numerous Patch Jersey Cards get collectors excited about “common” jersey hits and Autograph Versions add even more value to the set. The Rookie Cards are some of the most sought after cards of the year.  Even the lesser known rookie cards still fetch large prices on eBay and the big names get $100’s and $1,000’s sales via auction.

A popular Box-Break product where collectors “pool” their money together and buy “spots” for each NFL team. Considering the price of a box is more than most collectors can afford on their own, it is a way to feel the thrill of opening one of football’s finest products. Picking the Cowboys, Steelers, 49ers and other teams rich with players is a good way to improve your odds.

Also popular on YouTube because of the MEGA Hits that can come from this box. Better find a box quick, this stuff dries up fast.

Off the heals of the huge success of the 2006 release, ’07 was highly anticipated. The rookie class was headed by Adrian Peterson who’s cards we’re soaring after his record rookie season. It is interesting to note that JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, and Trent Edwards still hadn’t made much of an impression on the field leading to huge speculation on their card values.

Still a great set if your chasing legend and HOF players, however Rookies and Current players are featured more in this years version compared to 2006.  Still many great cut-autographs and other vintage pieces, but the true chase cards were the Adrian Peterson Jersey/Auto RC and other big-name RC’s.

Once believed to be the final football product from Playoff/Donruss, this product was LOADED with items that the company thought might be sold or never inserted in a product line.  Probably one of the first true “values” at $500.00 per box, prices quickly climbed as collectors were treated to mega hits box after box. Not only a great set featuring some of the NFL’s legends & greats, the 2006 Football Rookie Class is one of the finest in the leagues history.

Led originally by Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, and Vince Young, rookie cards of Joseph Addai, Maurice Jones-Drew and Jay Cutler soon became the hot cards to find. Recently DeAngelo Williams and Santonio Holmes cards have seen a jump in their prices on eBay as of late. Lots of good stuff if you can still find a box that hasn’t been opened.

A fancy wood box and super thick card stock made this a collector favorite and set the stage for the future products to build on. Not only one of the finest Football Products of all-time, one of the best Trading Card Sets of All-Time.
