2010 Panini Crown Royale Football was a real fun break because of the two Living Legends Jersey cards we hit of players I remember watching as a kid. In pack one, Saints LB Rickey Jackson was sort of a, Patrick Willis type player, who was all over the field and was always making big plays. He played in an era before Jersey Cards became popular so it’s nice to see Panini get him into some current sets as he truly was one of the best linebackers of his time.

In pack two we pulled the hit of the box, a Toby Gerhart Blue Autograph Rookie, serial numbered #19/50. While it might be tough for Toby to get any carries with Adrian Peterson on his team, NFL running backs always find a way to get an opportunity and someday Gerhart will get his. Other Blue Autograph Toby Gerhart Rookies sell for around $20-35 so I’d say Playa123 did very well with his free pack.

Fan Forum member Murphy3 is on a roll and has won two packs in our last three Panini group breaks. Murphy3 scored a pack of 2010/11 Panini Certified Hockey late last month and was able to secure a pack of Crown Royale this time around. Andre Johnson is one of the top WR’s in the game today and it’s always nice to hit one of his game used cards. Jacoby Ford is a rookie who has played very well for the surprising Oakland Raiders.

Pack four went to Weirdmaniac who got the other Living Legends Jersey card, a Henry Ellard, numbered #30/299.  Ellard was a very good wide-receiver who played in the league from 1983-1998. Ellard was an athletic tall guy, and he even qualified for the 1992 Olympic Trials in the triple jump. His best NFL season was with the L.A. Rams in 1988 when he had 86 receptions, 1,414 yards and 10 TD’s. The other cool card in pack four was the Max Hall rookie which are sort of hard to find in 2010 sets because he was an un-drafted free agent.
