Fresh off the success Panini had with Prizm Basketball – 2012 Panini Prizm Football was released on January 30, 2013.  Collectors seem to like the NFL version but it’s maybe not quite as hot as the NBA release. Prices did shoot up on box prices at the wholesale and retail level.

Rich from Layton’s Sports Cards comes on to describe how he opened a card store in New Jersey and also runs a successful online group break business. It was a lifelong dream for Rich to open a card store and so far he is having a blast.  He began selling online first and became captivated by watching group break videos.  Rich mentions how much time it took to network and build relationships with distributors and customers. The online business grew so quickly that he had to move the operation out of his house. Close to home was a 1200 sq ft retail location and Layton’s Sports Cards became a brick and mortar location.
