I originally purchased this card on February 22, 2011 on Check Out My Cards for $3.00. I put in the offer with the seller: SellOurCards and it was accepted quickly. Seth Rosin is a pitching prospect for the San Francisco Giants and I’ve read about him being a tall, hard throwing right handed starting pitcher. Rosin was drafted in the 4th round of the 2010 MLB Draft.
To be honest, I was a little bummed out I sold this card, even though it did help me gain a $2.00 profit in my bankroll bet challenge. Rosin only has autographs so far available in 2010 Donruss Elite Baseball – and this one was the Red Status Parallel, serial numbered #/50. Rosin could very well put up very good numbers this year in Single-A San Jose and I might have been able to get more then $5.00 for it. But I really wanted to keep this card, only because I do think Rosin could have potential based solely on the fact the Giants organization has proven they are able to develop pitchers – Lincecum, Cain, Bumgarner, Sanchez, Wilson etc…..
Shortly after I purchased this card on COMC – I noticed another one sold on eBay for $6.55 which included shipping. In retrospect, I would have priced this card higher because it was the only one for sale on COMC at the time. Beckett’s high book value for the card as of March 7th was $10.00.
