These 2011 Commemorative Patch cards are either a hit or miss with collectors. They are not game used or even event used patches. Quite simply they are a normal patch you could buy online or at a store and Topps has decided to use them with their trading cards. New collectors can sometimes be confused by these cards and online sellers sometimes don’t make it clear that these cards contain manufactured patches.
2011 Topps San Francisco Giants cards have been red hot since the product release date on February 2. Cards of the World Series Champions have been the best sellers and have garnered the highest selling prices of any 2011 Topps Baseball Cards. Even players who do not get much hobby love are seeing record prices thanks to Giants fans eagerly buying any card for top dollar. Aubrey Huff, Freddy Sanchez and Andres Torres are names not associated with high dollar baseball cards. Each one of those players has had a card sell for over $50.00 from the 2011 Topps Baseball set which is a great win for card collectors.

The 2011 Commemorative Patch cards are inserted 1 per Retail Blaster Box and come in their own special pack. 49 players have a Commemorative Patch card including SF Giants star Buster Posey.
A retail blaster box will run you about $18-20 depending where you buy. Early sellers of this card have got to be delighted that they could sell this card for the entire price of the box. As you can see, it’s best to sell these cards early as the price online has dropped by over 50% in less then two weeks since the release of 2011 Topps Baseball.
Key prices on the graph are as follows:
- Highest Price: $23.85 – February 4, 2011
- Lowest Price: $10.50 – February 13, 2011
- Average Price: $18.05 – 19 Completed Auctions
I fully expect the price to continue to drop on these cards and collectors should be able to find these cards for less than $10.00 going forward. All the prices in the graph include shipping.
