More sports card dealers are getting exposed for their involvement in altering and trimming cards.
As far back as 2006, Charles "Charlie" Barokas of Mercer Island, Washington has been accused of card trimming.
News of the scam broke on the Blowout Forum.
Sports Card Radio reached out to Barokas for comment through eBay. Barokas denies being a card trimmer.

Barokas buys graded cards on eBay, trims or alters them, gets PSA to re-grade the cards, and then sells them through third-party consignors such as Probstein123, Steven Novella, and Heritage Auctions.

Barokas trimmed this 1950 Bowman Tobin Rote and earned a tidy $1,974 in profit.
