Watchdog or Con Dog? The Scandalous Tale of How an Alleged ‘Hobby Hero’ Almost Pulled Off a Million-Dollar Scam!

Hold the front page, folks! We got a story that makes ‘The Great Gatsby’ look like a kid’s tale.

An anonymous ‘watchdog’ of #thehobby, boasting 100K+ followers, was on the brink of flipping a Michael Jordan jersey for a cool $1M. Yes, you read that right—a MILLION!

The Dirty Deeds: A Fake Charity Foundation?

Here’s how it went down. Some are suspecting that CardPorn spent $26,896 on a game-worn MJ jersey. But instead of showing it off, they went full ‘Oceans 11’—creating a fake charity in the name of a deceased photographer. Sketchy much?

The scam didn’t stop there. The watchdog allegedly submits the jersey to MeiGray, throwing in some ‘new’ photos supposedly purchased from this ‘foundation.’ Boom! MeiGray matches the jersey to the 1996 Eastern Conference Finals.

Congrats, you just added a million bucks to that jersey!

Rovell on the Case: The Unraveling Begins!

But not so fast! Sports reporters like Darren Rovell start sniffing around. Rovell drops an article with the real son of the deceased photographer, who says the foundation has NOTHING to do with his late dad.

Plot twist!

MeiGray’s 180: Say Goodbye to that Certificate!

When the story starts looking fishier than a three-day-old sushi roll, MeiGray says “hold up!” They revoke the jersey’s authentication faster than you can say “fraudster.”

Late-Night Drama: @cardprn Exposed?

As we sip on our late-night tea ☕, screenshots emerge of @cardprn posting this very jersey online. Is this watchdog account really behind this ludicrous scam?

The Reveal: From Watchdog to Scam Dog!

If @cardprn is the culprit, the irony’s thicker than grandma’s gravy. A social media account posing as the “hobby watchdog” turns out to be the BIGGEST con artist in the game. So much for watching the hobby, huh?

The @cardprn Twitter account was deleted or deactivated at the time of this post!

PSA Weighs In: Looks Fake Dog

According to Rovell, Card Porn took the b.s. Michael Jordan pictures to PSA at the National in Chicago and PSA said the pictures were fake. Yikes. WTF is going on?!
