2011 Observations: Stassi got hurt 31 games into the 2011 season and missed the rest of the year with a shoulder injury. You could tell that the injury was hurting him well before he went out of the lineup as he was primarily used as a DH. In total, 2011 was a wash for Max because of the injury. He is one of the most engaging athletes I’ve ever been around and was the star of the 2011 autograph session before the season. Stassi would talk to fans, flip his glove into the stands and sign hundreds of autographs. Stassi will return to the Stockton Ports to start the 2012 season.
