What Just Went Down?
Hold onto your hats, card collectors! Shai Rahman, aka @Shaiwayvlogs on Instagram and the Co-Founder of Fund Your Cards, just got caught up in some eBay shenanigans. You won’t believe this! It looks like Shai has been artificially jacking up bids on his own eBay listings!
The Evidence
Shoutout to Blowout forum member MustardsCards who came through with the tea! We’re talking screenshots, usernames, and the whole nine yards. And let’s not forget, Shaiwayvlogs has been flexing hard on Instagram, showing off his sick card collection like it’s no big deal. Well, it looks like that “flexing” might have led to his downfall. Talk about your classic social media overshare, am I right?
Exit Stage Left
Not so fast, Shai! Trying to duck out of the spotlight, he took to Instagram yet again but this time to drop a bombshell. He says he’s “leaving the hobby.” Oh, what, you mean like when celebs say they’re quitting Twitter but come crawling back? This dork will be back at a card show snapping pics with other “influencers” soon.
What’s Next?
Don’t know about you, but we’re sitting on the edge of our seats waiting to see how this all shakes out. Will Shai make a comeback in the card game, or is he persona non grata from here on out? Is Fund Your Cards in hot water too? And most importantly, will eBay tighten the screws to prevent this kind of fraud?
