History

Topps Chrome Baseball is one of Topps longest running brands that delivers a “parallel” of their regular issue but with a special chrome gloss on each card. Known mostly for its refractor parallel cards that are typically rarer versions of the base and insert cards. The Mid ’90’s saw mainly inserts and parallels only…not even many notable Rookie Cards were produced. The late 90’s and on saw the insertion of Rookie Cards, Relic or Jersey Cards, and Autograph Cards (Mainly Rookies and Prospects)

It should be noted that some of the most popular versions of Topps Chrome can be found in the Traded & Rookies Version on eBay. This set was put together in regular Hobby Box/Pack form and sometimes in Factory Set Form. Either way these sets delivered some of the best Rookies of that year in Baseball. Keep in mind that the Box/Pack versions of Topps Rookies & Traded only have 2 Topps Chrome cards, the remainder are Regular Topps or another version.
